Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the teenager age. Aspen Ladd was trained in BJJ, kickboxing boxing, and wrestling prior to her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd then went on to win three fights within a row in Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents were defeated within the first minute. After that, she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia beat Aspen by unanimous decision. This put a stain on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11 saw her take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. Her next bout was a win in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized her superior wrestling skills to take down McGill in third round TKO. The next fight was against Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 at catchweight(138.1lb) as Ladd missed weight despite this Aspen defeated Hoy and finished her in the second round with a TKO. In her last fight for this promotion, Ladd defeated Sijara Eubanks via unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina and pounded her with a ground-and-pound for a second-round TKO victory. When she next faced Tonya Evinger in UFC 229, her victory was even more impressive. Ladd defeated Evinger by a punch in the first round she was awarded a performance of the night bonus. Her first major fight came during her subsequent fight at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos in which she faced. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Both fighters fought one of the most competitive fights that Ladd won by unanimous decision. The two fighters each received an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to stop Ladd and her streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in the 3rd round at UFC 7.7 on ESPN. Her most recent bout for the UFC she was a part of Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. She lost the fight via majority decision.
